Here are a few things to consider when choosing the location of your next aquarium:
- Water source and disposal of waste water.
- Ventilation for canopy and cabinet spaces.
- Need for a chiller if building temperatures go over 90° during the summer.
- Hiding water level with a rail at the top edge of the tank.
- Hiding bottom plate with a rail on cabinet face frame.
- If built into a wall, tank end walls should be opaque blue or black.
- Lighting requirements (4 hrs on, 1 hr off, 4 hrs on)
- Power requirements
- Proximity of windows to the system
- Necessity of a freezer on site for marine fish food.
